If you post something with a public visibility anywhere on the internet, it can be scraped. It may not be legal in every country, but it's technically possible.

The alternatives on here are to use a followers-only or mentions-only visibility (and some servers have a server-only visibility too, usually ones that run Glitch or Hometown versions of Mastodon).
