This standard would eliminate rights such as privacy in your own home, gay marriage rights, and more. Meanwhile the things that are deeply rooted in this nation’s history and traditions are things like the theft of land from indigenous people, interracial marriage bans, Jim Crow laws, discrimination in public housing, and more.
