Éric Paquette@silverwizard I've played and run Call of Cthulhu and the investigators are the protagonists of their horror story. A protagonist is not necessarily a hero. A protagonist is the main character that you follow in the story and who drives the story forward. Without investigators looking into the mystery, you don't drive the story forward since the mystery will stay hidden.
