SolSoCoG@anselmschueler @mathr yep. this is the default and *meant* to reduce the file disk requirement for mastodon. Can't be changed without changing the sourcecode and since I run the instance fully vanilla this is not happening. If it will be added as an option i'd enable better quality over disk size reduction.
