- Embed this noticeI don't know why it's so hard to accept that the US courts could reasonably conclude that your public posts -- intended to be consumed by the general public -- is free game for anyone to consume.
How is this so different from Google being legally allowed to scrape all public websites and use that data however they want for the search engine business? It's not. They've made billions off selling ad space shown to users searching our data.
I'm not making any statements about the morality of this behavior, only its potentially protected legality in the USA.
