@PonyPanda Calling the TRS listenership and the subculture that emerged from it the "podcastrace" is actually a response to TRS calling fags "gayrace" and normies who take whatever the TV tells them at face value the "tvrace." As much as I like to attack them, they have been very influential in the alt/dissident right, to the extent that people spout TRSisms without having ever heard of TRS. It's partly why I feel so bad about their gradual fall starting a couple years ago, even now, because it isn't as though they had zero worthwhile or interesting ideas.

But yeah. I agree. Podcasts are not in themselves bad, for all the reasons you listed. What is, however, bad, is making a religion out of them.
