Julian Assange couldn't even report on US military war crimes (the practice formerly known as "journalism") without getting hounded and eventually disappeared and tortured. Why would anyone possibly believe they could force the government to do shit by "voting"? It's a scam. Probably always was. At least monarchy came with accountability.
