Side rant:
I wish they'd just start using victim again. They're watering down language used to refer to rape victims. Am I a sexual assault offended against? No. I'm a rape victim. A victim of a crime. My life will never be the same. I will never be the same. Erasing that only serves men's desire to disappear the horrors of rape.

There's a real effort to water down language used to refer to crimes against women and children. Like child porn is now called CSAM. Why? People know what child porn is, a person learning English will be able to understand what child porn refers to right away, less educated and less intelligent people know what that is immediately. Who knows what CSAM is?
