I think it’s a combination of a bunch of different factors. There is definitely a cult aspect involved, it’s at the point where they literally target other vulnerable mentally ill ppl to groom. I’m not sure what the actual cause for this huge uptick is though, but it’s scary that it’s just being accepted rather than investigated as a pathology.
