I like the other acs much better. My MC learns how to be a captain again, an ability he lost after the loss of his wife. And, eventually, he finds he is even able to love again in a romantic sense.
And a young woman grows and excells in a task she has picked herself.
And, eventually, the armour of another MC, made hard by the way she grew up and her experiences, cracks a little bit.
