#WritingWonders Day 11
I hate it. Sometimes, of course, it is necessary.
I have a rule, though:
No red shirts.
If someone dies, no matter how short we knew them, it will leave a mark. Even the crew members we have never see on screen because they died during the explosion that initiates the story are addressed with name and birth dates in Galahad's speech to the crew.
And for the crew members who knew them, they are not forgotten.
And, I, as an author, won't let you forget them, either.
