Because I am a nerd, I have an air quality monitor that uses an internal laser to count airborne particles. (It’s this one: http://dylosproducts.com/ornodcproair.html)
The two numbers are small (≤0.5µm) and large particles. We get a reading of 100-200 when our indoor air is in good shape, maybe 1000-2000 on a normal city-pollutiony day. The scale on the device lists >3000 as “very poor” air.
Check out the reading I got this evening.
