Best if that includes converting multi-user restrooms to multiple single-user restrooms, because that way, neither group "loses" and any legitimate safety concerns are also solved without stationing "pecker checkers" at restroom doors.

(Daniel, one of the guys behind Tent.io all those years ago, once laid out the reasoning behind sex-separated restrooms, pointing to rampant rapes in third world countries without them. This was his initial step in justifying why gender and not sex was now the important factor. I don't remember his reasoning, so I couldn't do it justice trying to repeat it.)
