- Embed this notice@gnu2 @lnxw48a1 certainly not in Michigan. if they went to a private school an individual there could sign the "work authorization" form, but a home schooled kid still needs it from the public school, either the district in whose borders they reside, of the one in whose borders the employer is located. If they did so that would be the first time the state would have any official record of our kids being homeschooled. Michigan has super liberal homeschool laws, other sates are quite different. I have heard in fascist California we would have actually had to register as a private school and the State would have authority to review what are kids are being taught a d if they meet government "standards" more-or-less whenever they want.
