An A-student in high school got a C in physics, and instead of being devastated, she just shrugged, "it's a boy's subject anyway, so no big deal." And it seemed all those who didn't do well in math and science had predetermined that they wouldn't do well. It's too bad more teachers didn't work harder to change that.
