We absolutely care about the safety of our users, and actively moderate our instance and immediately deal with reports. The specific situation you mentioned in your thread wasn't even posted about by any of our local users, nor did we receive any reports of offending content. Our TOS specifically outlines no homophobia and no transphobia, and we stand by that in our moderation policies. I hope that your perception that we lack active moderation was nothing more than miscommunication.
