    GNU socialは2008-05-05に生まれた最初の分散SNSです。古くて時代遅れなのは当然です。途中で著者に放棄されたプロジェクトです。いろいろあったのです。
    最初はOpenMicroBlogging→OStatusが始まりActivityPubは2018年1月です。全体からしたら最近のほうの出来事です。ActivityPubに最初に対応したソフトはわかりませんが、Mastodonは最初のほうだったと思います。

    最近このあたりの記事でActivityPubや分散SNSの15年の話を少し紹介しました。

    それまでGNU socialやFriendicaくらいしかないところにMastodonが突然現れました。Twitterの騒動も重なり、UXが新しくてブームになって、思想もリベラル派富裕層に受けて、それで主流になったのだろうと私は思っています。
