I was slightly appalled because she is also energy limited like me and we don't cook because it takes time and energy. You eat for fuel. But I see that if she doesn't do other fun things like knitting or art, then cooking is fun for her, as well as being useful. If you cook a lot then basic things will become quicker and easier, and you have all the right tools, but it's still hard when you are very tired. Having ready prepared food seems like a city thing though.
eating out all the time doesn't seem sustainable.
Turtle if it's any comfort at all, I was 19 before I struck a match because I was sure I would burn my fingers. And I didn't. You will conquer ovens. Meantime, you could get an airfryer, or slow cooker and brown the meat in a pan first! (I don't eat meat, I have no guidance on that other than do it properly so you don't get food poisoning)
