Jon@thomasfuchs have you compared the two protocols yet - wondering how similar in function they are because that will probably determine how easy a bridge would be and how well it could work. I sincerely hope there will be some form of interoperability, but not sure what that would do for casual users who already struggle with the federated nature of Mastodon.
