I like to test my theories by throwing out statements and seeing if anyone argues with them.

From my understanding the gossip model is about finding posts at their origin. The current Nostr model is manual relay management. With the gossip model users don’t have to think so hard about relays. On the Fediverse people don’t have to think about it either, because it “just works”. The place to find the post is encoded in the post itself.

There’s some arcane knowledge in the Fediverse that Nostriches shouldn’t ignore.
