@alex @matty He's being charged with a threat but it's really incitement of a criminal act, which I'd say he is reasonably guilty of.

His problem is that he mentioned a specific individual and there is a reasonable capacity for him to cause the crime to occur. If he'd said "kill all cops" he'd have been better off legally because it's hyperbolic and not actionable (in most scenarios). The more specific your target (Chitwood) and more detailed your methods (gun) the more fucked you are.
