James Trickle uP@Swede1952 There are also atomic clocks in orbit.... every GPS or GNSS satellite has an atomic clock. These are called atomic because they are calibrated to the vibration frequency of an electronic spectrum line from a specific atomic element, and hence much more stable in rate than the vibrating rocks (quartz crystals) used in computers, TVs, and all manner of electronics.
