It really does seem superfluous though and I'm happy to have found a toaster and a kettle that really only do toastering and kettlering and do it well. I want to reward no-fluff industrial design.

I went over the kettle shelf to check which ones had the proper power switch design, which is to flip back to the off position when the kettle is unpowered.
