So again, is that a practical difference to most fedi users or not?

It's not difficult to make alts, I have like 10-12 at this point. Most people seem to have ~1-3 active accounts, and main on one instance. You can already bypass defederations easily, with either you making alts or those in the echo chamber instances making alts. So what's the fucking point for the average fedi user? I get why people like bot love the idea, because they're incapable of taking personal accountability for being defederated/fucked with and think the jannies are just out to get them.
