@silverpill it is truthful to say that the network today and nearly every user on it today is stuck attached to a server and that is not going to change very soon for the majority so i am willing to forgive that generalization. a software update to three major projects would enable new p2p users onto the fediverse immediately though so you're right it doesn't have to be abandoned for nostr or anything else.
