    @Mrfunkedude Yep, that's HOA boards. Though mostly it's burnout, because out of any given HOA, only 10-15% of folks (if that many) will even participate, and they often end up being the ONLY ones who participate. So pretty soon, they start to resent the folks who live in the neighborhood but don't participate but love to armchair-quarterback.

    Things might briefly improve - for a while - when a new person moved in and ran for the board.
