Someone who actually uses nostr will have to correct me, but I think the spam is more of a problem for relay operators than users, since a user needs to explicitly subscribe to a topic to receive messages? (Actually I’m not sure if unsolicited messages get delivered)

I imagine the equivalent of TWKN is a cesspool though.
