- Embed this notice@HSTG I do all sorts of self medicating with the substance. I usually buy the type that's allegedly fit for human consumption and I put it in empty (00) capsules as a magnesium supplement. I realize that too much can have undesired results but I never go that far. I also make my own calcium supplements using egg shells. Obviously, I'm not giving medical advise and I do boil the shells and dry them at around 150° for as long as they become dried and then I turn them into powder using a grinder.
Quite risky for a guy who isn't that good at chemistry, I know but I haven't died as yet. I do the same sort of thing with my quail eggs too. I have a lot of weird eating habits for a human. I eat lemons whole skin pulp seeds, everything and I do this every day. I've been having good results. I live in the 40° latitude zone, so as soon as the angles permit, I get ample sunshine, weather permitting for vitamin D. Naturally, I do supplement in the fall and winter months.
