Arcana@animeirl Honestly we enjoyed the books as kids. Enjoyed the movies, too. I still can’t believe we didn’t pick up on some of the racist and worse rhetoric, but… It was one of the only book series “for kids” we ever got into. Our parents always wanted us to read classics. Something something “my gifted child is smarter than yours” bullshit.
