@BarrenPlanet @sotolf @whvholst @rysiek I should maybe expand on this a bit: The reason why we don't have "the picassos" from prehistory is that a) some of them got destroyed by colonizers or other conquerors b) they were probably mostly oral or made from perishable materials - not a lot last for tens of thousands of years, c) we don't recognise them as such, because of shifting cultural sensibilities d) tools and culture matter, to the point that we probably can't see all the subtleties in them
