Hardwire that shit in before you cause and electrical fire. Also solar battery banks are great even if you don't have a solar array. Deep cycle batteries hold a great charge and can hold things over while you switch to local power. Also it helps to have the main line on a breaker so that you don't leak power into the grid and waste your power.
