Basically nothing besides brand names are written in cursive. (I was never taught cursive at school but I can read it because of reading old stuff written in cursive.)wouldn't the older people still write that way too?They do, but you don't get much handwritten stuff anymore. Maybe on a birthday card but that's once a year.
