Doctors of any kind don't encourage their patients to look up side effects. Wonder why...most drugs prescribed today are absolutely horrible. Most shrinks haven't a clue.

I wish all of this had been available when I was going through the worst of my psychoses. However I was put on antid's by my own father (a doc) when I was 17 because I was mourning my mother and under a ton of stress at my away from home boarding school. Soon after my mother's death, I had my unwanted son whom I gave up for adoption and ruined my entire life - ok I struggled with depression as a result of those traumas for almost all of my intervening years. I'm still on ONE after years of trying to taper off all of the things that caused me to be more psychotic.

BOTH periods when I had several psych admissions were related to the antidepressants I was placed on without any explanation or the wherewithal to question.

[Something similar happened to my sister and she's been chronically anxious and suicidal for several YEARS NOW. IF she's able to find a shrink or counsellor that's covered, none of them are able to help and none have suggested she get off that ONE anti-d that's killing her. It's an ongoing nightmare as I try to provide the counselling she needs without going further off the rails myself. SOME blame has to be assigned to the shrinks. All Lindsay wanted was some time off work because she couldn't cope with the kids and everything else.

I once attempted to look into legally complaining about a horrible shrink who overprescribed and it was so complicated that the advisor talked me out of it.

The medical industrial complex has to take more responsibility along with individual shrinks but the pharmas stand to make too much money on mental illness.

I agree that she should not have been left alone with the kids once she began having psychotic symptoms from the drugs. Where was child protection all this time?

I don't absolve her of blame. She complained numerous times though and no one HELPED. She's not asking to be let off. She knows she'll be imprisoned in a jail or mental institution for life.

So I still don't get why everyone is so mad at her personally while they don't freak out at all about the zillions of mass shootings often by men similarly prescribed are just swept under the carpet along with all the pedos who kill kids, say they're women then get put into women's prisons.

I don't get why this woman in the clip in particular is so mad. People react differently to different drugs. Lindsay wasn't psychotic until they started slapping on drug after drug.
