    @ryanc there is this hotel i stay at in miami that has a similar system, but it also has a bit of a security flaw

    you have to scan your room key, which enables you to select only the floor that your room is on from the touchscreen

    a) it’s dumb that you still have to touch the touchscreen when it only presents you with one option

    b) this system helpfully narrows down to anyone who may have stolen your branded hotel key card which floor they can find the room to break into on
