huh, I was so into focused about the total eclipse in Spain in Aug 2027 (which will be almost total in most of Portugal) that I completely missed the fact that there's another in Aug 2026, namely tomorrow. if one my girls hadn't written me today about it I might not even have noticed.

it's hard to get much information but from what I gather 2026 will actually be a much deeper eclipse in here than 2027 (as opposed to Spain, where 2027 will be the big event). but also because it's so late in the evening for an August (starts at 19-ish, peaks ~20:12 in my area) the sun will be very low and hard to see unless you go to a high place with an unobstructed view. not that i can see it without eclipse glasses of course, but it would be nice to find a place with tree leaf shadows or something indrect like that
