@sun IMO it's a dumb road to go for "being better", if you get caught in the social norms hamster wheel you'll be running in it forever with no reward whatsoever. By the time you reach whatever bullshit goalpost that was set when you started, the new one will be long installed. Your friends think highly of you already, what can you gain from changing?
