It's actually nucking futs how deeply ingrained this shit is, to the point that even consciously forward thinking, "enlightened" men will show this glaring blind spot about women in highly technical fields, to the point that they can't even tell in the moment that it's happening.

Especially stuff like this that crosses over with "enthusiast" stuff. The moment there's a bit of feminine energy in the room, it's like the normies are invading their special nerdy place (meanwhile, [insert first half century of digital computing history, e.g. grace hopper, ida rhoades, {so many more it's almost an insult to name drop just two}], but I guess because they were monochrome in photos it means they were rare historical outliers?)
