They've had so many cuts that they are unable to commit any forces to any foreign flashpoints in years now. The numbers are abysmal, we've got fewer actual armed forces personnel now than at almost any previous point of modern history. The amount of resources just given away to the ukraine debacle has been crippling.
If things do kick off fully, they're not coming to save anyone.
