Been thinking a lot about something @gruber said after Liquid Glass made its first official appearance two years ago:

"…looks and feels very cool in general…but in practice quite a few aspects of it feel a bit over-the-top and/or half-baked. Just like with Aqua, it will surely get dialed in. Legibility problems will be addressed."

Appears he was dead on. I think we're finally getting to the point where the cool parts are no longer overshadowed by the half-baked ones.
