Ian Z@thomasfuchs It's because normal users want cross-platform apps but the C/C++ devs, who should have been building cross platform libraries, were too busy scoffing at web apps and whining about how much RAM Chrome used.
So a JS dev built Electron and did their job for them. But at least they get to whine about how much RAM electron apps use.
