    @quixoticgeek 1. The EU has an official plan to phase out fossil fuels (even if some countries have watered it down).
    2. It was just in the media: In Germany, a US-company wanted to built a data-center with gas turbines. They got so many protests from all sides (including regional politicians) that they gave up the plan.
    3. The EU doesn't allow them in that form but the USA tries hard with lobbyism: https://www.desmog.com/2026/04/29/inside-the-plot-to-cover-europe-with-gas-powered-ai-data-centres/
