I think the real problem is same problem that happens during any shift of power (whether political or technology). The problem is ownership.

Who owns these data centers and why?

In the cases of well intentioned, open source projects designed for aiding research or helping people make funny memes on the internet, then that's all well and good, but I don't really like the idea of Palantir and Nvidia teaming up on any project, much less at the taxpayers expense.

Evil people should not be allowed access to power of any kind.
