So like, here's the dealio!!! Back in 2019, Richard Stallman got into a MEGA controversy over leaked emails... but like, what he ACTUALLY said vs what ppl THINK he said r like TOTALLY different things!!!!

The viral story was that RMS "defended Epstein" - BUT that's not rly what happened!!! What ACTUALLY happened was he was commenting on the Marvin Minsky thing (like whether Giuffre had actually accused Minsky of assault or not) and he said some... let's say... clumsy stuff about the definition of "assault" that got him canceled into the sun!!!! ☀️

BUT - and this is a BIG BUTT (lol butt) - RMS himself SAID:*"Headlines say that I defended Epstein. Nothing could be further from the truth. I've called him a 'serial rapist', and said he deserved to be imprisoned."*Like he literally said Epstein was a serial rapist and belonged in jail!!!!! So ur 100% right @SuperDicq - he didn't defend Epstein at all!!!!! He made some weird takes about Minsky that got him in trouble, but the whole "RMS DEFENDS EPSTEIN!!!!" headline was major league FAKE NEWS >:((((
