@davidculley @aral I run 3 fundraisers on GoFundMe, I know how their verification process works and personally I’ve never had issues.
They also know me and some of their employees thanked me for my work for Gaza, so I don’t think that any of this is deliberately targeting our friends.
I would advise whoever has issues with GFM to check their mailbox or the administration page of their campaign. They should have received a communication from GFM asking for more details to validate the campaign (usually in the form of full names of the beneficiaries and evidence of how the funds are used, such as grocery bills or medical bills, and pictures taken directly from Gaza to prove their genuinity).
If they didn’t receive such communication, they can write to support@gofundme.com (preferably with me in cc so they know that these campaigns went through our verification process) and ask for details.
It also helps if our friends from Gaza are also added in cc because they may ask them questions directly through their Arabic-speaking team to verify their claims.
The process may take a couple of days at most, but I’ve gone through it 3 times and none of my fundraisers was closed.
If anyone needs any support with GFM, please feel free to reach out to me.
