@PNS there is good fantasy too, those that through allegory exposes the foundational existence of good and evil, and sometimes the act of divorcing the story from the propaganda and brainwashing common amongst all modern minds allows the author to shed light on truths that people have been taught to ignore.

In other words, it’s not all bad.

Classically fiction was considered an essential element. See: Beowulf, Iliad, Odyssey, etc…
