This is probably applies to non ALR land. Cowichan is playing catch up with the Fraser valley, because I know everyone loves farmers here, but these people in chilliwack and Abbotsford influenced council to not allow back yard chickens, or really any sort of agriculture in residential zoned lots for bullshit reasons.
Let's not get into if you're not a multi generational farmer and you want to farm on the ALR, the ALC doesn't make your life very easy either.
