@WandererUber @Humpleupagus cd is pretty fast once you get used to it. and if you use a shell like zsh or fish, the autocompletiom is more ergonomic. that said soemthing ranger or yazi helps you show speed :hehcat:

also in vim, you can just netrw or nerdtree or telescope and/or fzf to find files. which reminds me, you can also integrate fzf knto your shell which helps with fuzzy finding stuff fast.

all that being said, i still use gnome with an extension to toggle tiling so take all that with a grain of salt
