Seeing this shit is what actually got me MATI enough to start designing fediEngine.
"User safety" was the goal from the beginning, and that includes masking user agent, client name, and image metadata to prevent you from being punished for using a client.
And it's literally necessary in order to protect innocent people. Imagine grabbing a weather app and being told it's the alt-right weather app and reddit's calling your boss because you used it.
They're literally doing authoritarian things and claiming to be liberators.
