Luna Lactea@silver_huskey @PepperTheVixen First time setup for a new client is more complicated than logging in to an email server if you're using encryption, since Matrix has no automatic key management & you have to load them yourself, but that's all. If you know what a key is it's fine. Matrix with e2ee is pretty unreliable when someone's server is slow though & I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something end to end encrypted. If you just need a groupchat & you're not sharing sensitive information that would require encryption, it's decent.
