Rich Felker@dlakelan @missqarnstein @HeavenlyPossum "Everyone must contribute to the society in some manner" is also slavery if forced. With just "or risk being shunned" maybe it's not but it's still abusive and unethical. We only need like 5% of the population to contribute something to society as long as the ones who don't aren't actively trying to harm it. There is no excuse for forcing participation; that just begets motives to retaliate with harm.
